How does the cut work?
Upload a raw take. EditScale transcribes it, finds the pauses, ums and repeated takes, and cuts them out while keeping every word you meant to say. Cuts join with a short audio blend so they don't sound chopped. Captions, zooms and a hook are optional and you can change them after.
It cut something I wanted.
Every cut is a colored mark on the timeline. Tap it to put that bit back. What we cut (tap the Saved chip) lists every cut with a Restore button.
How long does it take?
Usually 1 to 3 minutes for a 30 to 90 second take. Keep the app open while it uploads. Long or 4K files take longer to upload on cellular.
Does a failed video count toward my videos?
If analysis fails before your edit is ready to review, it does not use a video, on free or paid plans. Any video deducted is returned so you can try again.
How do I Restore purchases on a new phone?
Sign in to your EditScale account and use the same Apple Account you bought with. Open the paywall and tap the Restore link.
How do I cancel my subscription?
For App Store purchases, open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose EditScale and cancel. Otherwise, open your account screen and choose Manage billing.
How do I request a refund for an App Store purchase?
Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with the Apple Account you bought with, and request a refund. Apple decides whether to approve it.
What does the trial include?
Yearly Pro and Studio offer a 3-day free trial with 50 videos. Your first charge is on the date shown on the paywall when you start the trial. The yearly subscription then renews automatically until you cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
What stays after I cancel?
Your paid plan stays active until the end of its billing period. Cancelling does not delete your projects. Your style is saved for 90 days. If Cloud storage ends, download your videos within 30 days after it ends.
What happens to my videos?
They are stored only to edit them for you and are never used to train models. Details on the privacy page.
The AI made something wrong or offensive.
In the editor, tap the flag at the top (Report a problem with this edit), or "Report a problem with these hooks" under the hooks. Pick what went wrong and send it; a person reads every report. You can also email support@editscale.ai.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: tap the account icon at the top right of Home, then Delete account. That removes your account, uploads, exports and edit history. Payment records are kept without your account ID. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription; cancel it first in Settings > your name > Subscriptions. You can also email us and we will do it for you.
A question about billing or a refund?
Email us about billing. Tell us the email on your EditScale account and what went wrong. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple (see above).
The app crashed or froze?
Email us about the crash. Please include your iPhone model, your iOS version (Settings > General > About) and what you were doing when it happened.
